so far…. buenos aires isnt that distinct to me compared to NYC, montreal, chicago. big city people doing things in a rush. tons of cafes and shopping. hasnt hit me that this is the best place ever and that i will fall in love with this city. not to say i wont fall in love in this city. ————————————————————————————————WOW WOW WOW. 3 months ago I wrote that post. and I take it all back!!! Buenos Aires has changed me in ways I have yet to realize. I could talk about the great buildings, food or music. But really it is the PEOPLE. I have fallen in love with the way people on the street will spark up a conversation. Not everything is peachy— seeing the cartoneros (the very poor sifting through garbage for recyclables) breaks my heart. Yet the spirit of Argentina has infected me with a desire to return. I know I will return! I could ramble on some more but I am too busy getting pumped to go dance reggaeton tonight with mi mejor amiga portena Maria! &&& about the falling in love part… no it hasnt happened; just a minor affair with the most sensitive and adorable boy I have ever met.
